Why should I use a travel advisor?

Will I need to pay a fee for your services?

I am very transparent.

Fees are charged if the itinerary will be complex requiring a significant amount of research and planning.

So, here is how that works:

After a free 30 minute initial phone call, you decide if you want to go further.
If so, you pay just the $250 planning fee.
However....If your booking is simple, such as just several nights in the same hotel, the fee is waived and you pay nothing.

Examples of Simple Booking with no fee:

"Hi Kirsten! I would like to book 7 nights at the Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch December 2-9, 2023. Can you book it for me?"

Example of a complex booking (with a planning fee):

"Hi Kirsten! Can you help me plan a 30th Anniversary safari trip to Kenya with a stayover in Paris on the way home?"

Complex bookings might include:

Local Immersion Dinners with a local chef's family
Excursions (hot air balloon rides, deep sea fishing reservations, private tours)
Private tour of the Vatican before/after hours
Transfers from the air stip to the Safari
Private drivers
Multiple hotels
Dinner Reservations
Unique local experiences curated because of travel advisor relationships

SO WHY HIRE A TRAVEL ADVISOR VS BOOKING DIRECT OR ONLINE??

First is the additional amenities that are available to you because of our relationships with the suppliers (hotels, cruise lines, villas...etc). These could be complimentary room upgrades, free breakfasts (which could save you more than $100/day at some hotels), resort credit, early check in/late check out...etc. In most cases, you could not get these benefits on your own if you book direct or through a discount online service.

But even more importantly, you have a real person (me!) to do the behind the scenes planning saving you LOTS of time and headache. AND, (drum roll please!), I have your back should something go wrong.

First, we begin by having a brief phone call. This initial consultation is to see if what you are looking for matches what I can provide for you.

Second, we have a 'planning meeting' phone call. This is where I obtain all the details through a series of detailed questions. If it is determined that the vacation will involve complex planning, I will get your permisson to charge a $250 planning fee before moving forward.
Third, I begin the research and work side by side with you as much or as little as you like until we have the itinerary that matches everything you have dreamed of. I help you every step of the way with deposits, trip insurance options, confirmations, until the day of travel.

Finally, after your trip commences, I am available to you throughout your journey through Whats App from most anywhere in the world should you have any problems or questions along the way.
